Honda centaur Marc Marquez in an interview at an Estrella Galicia event returned to talk about Valentino Rossi and the impact he has had on his career.
“I remember learning a lot from Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, they were very fast riders. A high-level sportsman must always have high self-esteem. The mentality has to be ‘if he’s going fast, why can’t I do it too?'”
“Winning is very nice,” continued the eight-time world champion, “but having a challenge is important. Now with my recovery I have a difficult challenge, like climbing a mountain. I need adrenaline and motivation to continue.”
