Carlos Alcaraz is not hiding: his goal for 2023.
A new dream after an unforgettable season.
Carlos Alcaraz over the course of 2022 won on repeat, so much so that he graduated number 1 on the ATP circuit. The winner of the last US Open obviously does not intend to stop in the new year, when, however, he has one goal in particular that he intends to accomplish.
“I have to be honest, the last season for me was a dream come true,” Alcaraz said in an interview for the ATP website. Here the young Spaniard reviewed the most important victories of the season, including those against Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic: “I will never forget the victories in Madrid, nor those at the US Open. I am No. 1 in the world because of those successes.”
“This year I won my first Masters 1000, in Madrid. But I also managed to win in Barcelona, in front of my audience. Now in 2023 I want even more. What I would like to do is to win my second Slam. That is my big goal for the new year, and if I have to choose a particular tournament then I say Wimbledon,” Alcaraz said.
