Nice initiative in San Marino

Starting today and until the end of 2023, for every person born in the Republic a small San Marino national team jersey will be donated. This is the latest initiative by FSGC, which wants to try to enlarge even more the family of its fans.

A symbolic meeting was held Wednesday afternoon at the San Marino State Hospital where the first “baby” size jerseys with the classic biancoazzurri colors were handed out.

“The delivery,” commented FSGC Secretary General Zafferani, “is a small gesture we want to make to all future San Marino babies. Our jersey is a symbol of the Republic and the Nation. In a special moment like birth, the Federation does not want to be invasive but simply give a small reminder to newborns. With the hope that maybe tomorrow, when they are older, they will be able to push and cheer the National Team at the Stadium as well.”

In addition to the jersey, a small parchment with a symbolic message dedicated to the newborn and the family will also be handed out: little Elena will open the scoring.
