Spal, Salvatore Esposito says goodbye: hunt for replacement
Negotiation almost in port with Spezia, management at work
Negotiations between Spezia and Spal for the transfer of Salvatore Esposito to the Ligurian club have had a major acceleration in recent hours, and according to reports from ‘Sky Sport’ should materialize at the opening of the winter market.
Thus, the Ferrara experience of the 22-year-old midfielder, brother of Anderlecht striker (also about to return to the A league) Sebastiano, who like the latter completed his youth ranks at Inter, is about to come to an end. Esposito was contracted by Spal in 2020, playing two and a half seasons in the biancazzurro and standing out for his ability to make an impact both defensively and offensively.
The transfer, if it actually goes through, will lead to an assessment of the squad by the technical staff and management: in January, part of the amount recovered through the deal can be immediately reinvested to bring home a midfielder capable of filling the void in the midfield.
