Virtus Bologna, Kyle Weems joins Marco Belinelli and Daniel Hackett
U.S. small forward joins Belinelli and Hackett
Important milestone reached by Kyle Weems in Virtus Bologna jersey: the former Besiktas and Strasbourg player among others, in Emilia since 2019, in the game won by Sergio Scariolo’s men against Brescia, scored 14 points that contributed to the final 89-77.
The 1989-class American, in the match against the Lombard team managed to recover two balls from the hands of the opponents, touching the quota of 100 stolen balls since he has been playing in the Italian league, in which he played only with the jersey of the Vu Nere.
Weems thus joined other Virtus Bologna players in triple digits for balls recovered: they are Marco Belinelli, Daniel Hackett and Alessandro Pajola. Among these four players, the American and the Italian-born class of 1999 are the only ones to have touched the threshold of 100 ‘steals’ wearing only one tank top, while for ‘Il Beli’ there is also to be considered his long experience in Fortitudo and for the naturalized Italian his past with the colors of Treviso, Pesaro, Siena and Milan.
