F1, Nico Hulkenberg frosty with Mick Schumacher
Nico Hulkenberg: “Even without me they still would have sent him away.”
Nico Hulkenberg, who supplanted Mick Schumacher at Haas, was not soft on his predecessor in an interview with RTL: “Even if I hadn’t been there, I’m convinced they still would have sent him away. Formula 1 is all about performance. You have to be a performer to keep this job. If you are not, everything ends very soon.”
Relations between the two are frosty: “We have never spoken since our first meeting, nor have we exchanged information or ideas. Mick is from a different generation and we never had a relationship.”
