A secret revealed many years after the title, won over Valentino Rossi.

Jorge Lorenzo returns to speak to the microphones of ‘DAZN,’ this time focusing on the period when he raced for Yamaha and shared the pits with Valentino Rossi. And the Mallorcan centaur has revealed a backstory on one of the most controversial seasons of his career: that 2015 in which he won a heart-stopping MotoGP championship title over the very ‘Doctor’ of Tavullia.

“I used to show up at races with a very big motorhome. Upstairs it had a hot tub, while inside the suite was a cryosauna,” Lorenzo revealed. “The temperatures there were as low as -180 degrees, and I would go there at the end of training sessions.

Lorenzo then added that of this particular treatment he was indulging in, not only his teammate-rival Valentino Rossi was unaware, but the entire Yamaha team. “No one knew, I acted secretly and made sure that no one was aware of my secret. And if I became MotoGP champion in 2015, it is thanks to cryosauna. I was willing to do anything to win that title, and the fact that I had an enemy at home was the ultimate motivation,” Lorenzo explained.
