Claudio Ranieri at Cagliari: what’s missing before the big comeback
A prestigious comeback, now getting closer and closer.
Claudio Ranieri is one step away from Cagliari, where he would return to coach more than 30 years after the experience that led the islanders to double promotion from Serie C1 to Serie A. That was the three-year period between 1988 and 1991, and now the Roman coach could return to Sardinia again with the Rossoblù in Serie B.
According to ‘Sky Sport’ Cagliari and Ranieri have in fact reached an agreement, valid for the next 18 months. The Testaccino coach would sign a contract valid until June 2024, taking over the place last occupied by Fabio Liverani. Only a few details remain that it is up to patron Tommaso Giulini to file, then the big comeback could become reality.
