Genoa, long-awaited comeback official
Domenico Criscito returns to Genoa
After several days of waiting, the officialdom is here: Domenico Criscito returns to wear the Genoa jersey after six months played in the Canadian league under the colors of Toronto FC, an MLS team where Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi also play.
For the full-back from Campania, this is the fifth professional stint in the Rossoblù, where he first arrived in 2003. In addition to the one with Juventus, the defender has also had experiences abroad such as the one with Zenit St. Petersburg between 2011 and 2018 and the one already mentioned with the Ontario team.
“Welcome back Mimmo! The club announces that as of January 2, 2023, Domenico Criscito will return to wear the Genoa jersey,” reads the note released by Genoa through its official channels. At the end of the season, in all likelihood, Criscito will start his career to become a coach.
