Marta Bassino comments on yet another podium finish in giant slalom

Four giant slalom races in the 2023 World Cup, as many podiums for a beaming Marta Bassino at the end of a double run in Semmering that she herself does not hesitate to call complicated anyway.

Twice third in two days, the Cuneo native skier spoke to the microphones of ‘Rai Sport’ as follows: “Arriving twice in a row on the podium is always nice, really very satisfying. It was a difficult race though, the conditions of the slope were particular both in the first and second run.”

“That caused me to make some mistakes. But I finished third and I can only be happy,” concluded Bassino, who with today’s third place joins Max Blardone in tenth place in the overall ranking of podiums obtained in the CdM of alpine skiing by Italian athletes (25).
