Lewis Hamilton sends a clear message to Ferrari and Red Bull
A disastrous year to put behind us, and widely renewed ambitions.
Lewis Hamilton is aiming for a 2023 once again as a protagonist, and in an interview for official Mercedes channels he speaks clearly not only to his team, but also to eternal rivals Red Bull and Ferrari. Indeed, in the season to come, the seven-time world champion wants to return to excel as he once did.
“I’m looking forward to 2023,” Hamilton candidly admitted. Who also wanted to review a 2022 that was not entirely to be wasted, especially in the season’s final rounds: “Fantastic was the Hungarian Grand Prix, but things also went well in Holland. Amazing Sunday at Silverstone, with a great atmosphere and a chance to get on the podium.”
Hamilton then admitted that he also enjoyed Mercedes’ only win of the season albeit taken by teammate George Russell: “In Brazil we had the best moment of the year because the team was so happy. I was scared of not completing the one-two, so crossing the finish line gave me great joy. Because I haven’t seen the team so happy in a long time. And now I want to relive those emotions, especially considering the difficulties at the beginning of the season.”
