Milan, Eindhoven drubbing sets off alarm bells

The lineup coached by Stefano Pioli has collected only defeats in the preparation for the resumption of the championship

There is the excuse of absences, of course. There is the justification of the many bigs not summoned or still at half service – such as Rafael Leao, who entered only halfway through the second half – but the signs are quite disturbing. Milan closed out its pre-season friendly cycle by collecting yet another defeat, suffered this time at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, in the presence of PSV, which rifled three goals at the meneghini.

And so after the knockout with Arsenal on Dec. 13, and the poker remedied by Liverpool just three days later, came another ugly defeat for the Champions of Italy, who appear far from their best form.

“Milan too bad to be true,” “De Ketelaere and Adli still disappointing,” “We completely screwed up the summer market,” are just some of the comments that Rossoneri fans posted on Twitter in commenting on their team’s performance. For the record, the Dutch won 3-0 thanks to goals from Til in the 8th minute and a brace from Madueke, who scored in the 21st and 56th minutes.
