Federica Brignone rewrites history and relaunches: her hope
A historic achievement, which is also an excellent signal toward the future.
Federica Brignone took second place at the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, beaten only by a monumental Mikaela Shiffrin. For the Valle d’Aosta woman, however, this is a very important result: the 50th podium in her career. And her enthusiasm for this achievement is extremely high.
“Podium number 50 was the first goal of the season, so there is great satisfaction on my part,” Federica Brignone explained, as can be read on the ‘FISI’ website. “However, the best signals are others, namely the way I am succeeding in skiing, my attitude and my performance on the slope.
So for Federica Brignone the signals are definitely good, after a difficult start to the season: “In general I was hoping to start a little better. But then good results came, which boosted my confidence. Before there was always something wrong, but today almost everything went well. I hope this bodes well for going even stronger in the near future.”
