F1, Mattia Binotto ‘blocked’ by Ferrari
The former Ferrari executive will not go to any other team
Mattia Binotto ‘locked in’ by Ferrari: the former Maranello team principal, who said goodbye to the team at the end of 2022, will remain in the ‘gardening’ period for 12 months, according to formu1a.uno reports.
Binotto will thus continue to receive compensation until the end of his contract with Ferrari, and will also receive an extra bonus, decided by the Cavallino to prevent the former executive from ending up at another team or in the Fia and Liberty Media organization chart.
Meanwhile, the era of Frederic Vasseur, chosen as Mattia Binotto’s successor, began on Monday: in the coming days, the former Alfa Romeo may introduce some changes in the red team ahead of next season.
