F1, Max Verstappen does not trust Ferrari
Red Bull driver doesn’t trust Ferrari
Two-time world champion with Red Bul Max Verstappen has returned to what happened last season, stressing how he did not expect the decline of Ferrari, which had made a strong start in the first Grands Prix of the season with two wins in the first three races.
“I expected Ferrari to fight for the title longer. If you look at how close the cars were, it is a bit surprising to have such a big gap. There weren’t many weekends where we were really dominant. But in the end I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially after the season I had last year. It’s not always nice to have the kind of struggle every year in 2021,” explained the Dutch driver.
“I think next year everything will still be closer at the top of the standings. There will be Ferrari, as well as there will definitely be Mercedes,” continued Verstappen, who is worried not only about the Maranello stable but also the Brackley stable.
