Djokovic anxiety: stops in training
Novak Djokovic interrupts training.
Moments of great concern for Novak Djokovic. The Serbian tennis player had to interrupt his training session on center court – Rod Laver Arena – at the Australian Open due to a problem with his left knee. The nine-time champion in Melbourne was playing a practice set with Russian Daniil Medvedev when he felt discomfort in the knee of his left leg. At first Nole got a massage during the change of court, but then decided to stop training, probably as a precautionary measure.
Djokovic had already had physical problems during the Adelaide tournament, which he later won in the final over Korda, but of a different nature and not concerning the knee. It remains to be seen whether the Belgrade champion will already be able to recover for his exhibition match with Nick Kyrgios, scheduled for Friday. With a few days to go before the start of the first Slam of the season, Djokovic’s condition will have to be monitored closely.
