Simone Verdi, the return is not just a dream: Salernitana’s plan

A great comeback, the feasibility of which represents more than just a suggestion.

Simone Verdi is back in the sights of Salernitana, which would like to re-embrace him in January exactly as it did a year ago. The Pavia-based fantasist was then among the protagonists of the salvation ride of Davide Nicola’s team, which already coached him at Torino and aims to coach him again. There is, however, to reckon with Verona.

Taking stock of the negotiations was the local Salerno broadcaster ‘LiraTV,’ according to which the Campania club is knocking insistently on the doors of Verona, where Verdi has struggled in the first half of the championship. The player would agree to the transfer, but there is no shortage of knots.

In fact, Verona does not seem willing to deprive itself of players currently part of its roster to turn them over to teams as committed as the Gialloblù in the chase for salvation (a similar problem concerns Thomas Henry, for example). Salernitana, however, does not seem willing to give up, and in order to re-embrace Verdi according to the source would be willing to offer Botheim or Valencia as counterparts.
