Genoa imitates Roma: the latest market suggestion
Grifone imitates Roma
Genoa, despite the arrival of Matturro and Criscito, has no intention of stopping in the market and is continuing to look for reinforcements to put at coach Alberto Gilardino’s disposal.
The latest idea for the midfield follows what Roma has done: in fact, the capitolini in this winter soccer market have got their hands on Ola Solbakken, a Norwegian striker formerly of Bodo Glimt who in the famous 6-1 remedied by the Giallorossi in the Conference League had scored a brace.
Genoa, on the other hand, has set its eyes on one of Solbakken’s ward mates and that is 2000-year-old Hugo Vetlesen. The player, who arrived at Bodo in 2020, is a midfielder with great offensive propensities, and the 22 goals he scored in his first 64 league appearances also testify to that.
The red and blue leadership is keeping an eye on this track, which could be viable also and especially because the player’s contract expires in December 2023 and therefore the yellow and black club could decide to sell him before that date, to avoid losing him for zero. The figure that could be reasoned upon would be no more than 2.5 million euros.
