Massimiliano Allegri comments on a nightmare night for Juventus

On the sidelines of a nightmarish evening for his Juventus side, defeated 5-1 by top-ranked Napoli, Massimiliano Allegri did not look for extenuating circumstances to comment on the performance and result of the match at the ‘Maradona’.

“They played a good game, while we were a bit drained of energy,” Allegri told ‘Dazn’ microphones. “We took a 2-0 lead at our best moment but this is also what soccer is all about, there is at least one game a year like this.

“We must not throw ourselves down,” added the Livorno coach, “we have to get back on our feet and recover, because the championship is still long. Tonight, however, it seemed like we could take goals at any moment. It was a deserved defeat, we took goals on easily readable situations, there is little else to say.”
