Napoli-Juventus 5-1

An evening to remember, that of Friday, January 13 at the ‘Maradona’, for Napoli and its fans: in fact, Luciano Spalletti’s team won 5-1 against Juventus, crumbling a defense that had not conceded a single goal in the previous eight league outings.

The start of the hosts is storming and the domination is concretized in the 14th minute, when Sczezny manages to repel the ball kicked in acrobatics by Kvaratskhelia but nothing can against the rebound of Osimhen, who signs the 1-0. Juve reacted and in the 21st minute hit the crossbar with Di Maria, but Napoli slowly regained control and in the 39th minute doubled the score with Kvaratskhelia, who took advantage of an uncertainty by Bremer and sealed 2-0. Before halftime, however, it is Kim who commits an ingenuity, on the other side of the pitch: Di Maria takes advantage of the Korean’s mistake and shortens the gap as the clock strikes 42 minutes.

Those who imagined a balanced battle in the second half, however, were proved wrong within 20 minutes: in the 55th minute it was Rrahmani who sealed the 3-1, on an assist from a corner kick by the usual Kvaratskhelia, while ten minutes later Osimhen made it a double, again on a decisive pass from the Georgian. Finally, Elmas completes the party: it is he, in the 72nd minute, who scores the 5-1 goal, at the end of a beautiful individual play also rewarded by a deflection of Alex Sandro that displaces Szczesny.

The last quarter of an hour plus recovery is pure academy: Napoli wins 5-1, stretches to +10 at the top of the standings while waiting for Lecce-Milan (the Rossoneri are on 37 points, on a par with Juve) and can enjoy the embrace of its supporters at the end of an almost perfect match.
