The former Barcelona defender responded to his ex-wife’s song
Shakira and Piqué are poking at each other from a distance after the stormy end of their marriage. The Colombian pop star attacked the former Barcelona player with not at all veiled references in her latest song: “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, you traded a Rolex for a Casio…,” she wrote in the lyrics referring to the Catalan defender’s new girlfriend, Clara Marti.
Piqué on the sidelines of the presentation of a new sports project immediately responded to his former spouse in a live Twitch in which he joked, “Casio is the new tournament sponsor. This watch is for life.” The gag then continued, explaining that Twingo would also be considering sponsoring the event.
