Camila Giorgi immediately convincing at the Australian Open: the Macerata-born tennis player in the first round bent Russian Anastasija Pavlyuchenkova, world number 364, in two sets 6-0, 6-1.
No problem for the Azzurra, who closed the file in less than an hour showing excellent form on Melbourne’s concrete: now Camila will face Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, who overcame Italian number one Martina Trevisan in the first round.
Great disappointment for the Tuscan tennis player, who succumbed in two sets 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and a quarter of play highlighting her difficulties on cement.
