Palladino: “Congratulations Samp, but in Monza something magical”
Compliments to the opponents, but also high praise for his team.
Raffaele Palladino admitted that he experienced the home challenge with Sampdoria with concern, but he knew that his Monza team would have the strength to face it to the very end. And in fact the Brianzoli found the 2-2 in the 98th minute, with a penalty by Matteo Pessina.
“Kudos must be given to Samp, who played a great game and made us play badly. Great credit to Stankovic and his team,” Palladino explained. “I was worried about this match, because Samp is a lively team. We forced the play too much, we were not patient in certain cases.”
However, there is no shortage of praise for how Monza recovered the result when time was largely up. “We stayed in the game until the end, we got it back at the last second. I had seen a great Petagna during the week, those who came in raised the level. I’ve never seen a locker room like this. There is something magical, seven consecutive useful results, a beautiful ranking,” Palladino noted.
