There could still be surprises in the Cagliari market: the Rossoblù management is monitoring released players and in the last few hours Giulini is pondering Nikola Maksimovic.

Raised in Sloboda Uzice, the defender landed in Italy thanks to Torino in 2013. With the granata jersey he churned out very solid performances that convinced Napoli to buy him in 2016. After a brief move to Spartak Moscow, he returned to Italy, to Genoa, from which he was released in September 2022.

At the moment, Maksimovic is just an idea: the Cagliari management will consult with Claudio Ranieri and based on the Roman coach’s indications will decide whether to initiate contact with the player or not. Surely the 1991 class would bring to Sardinia a wealth of experience, there is, however, to understand his physical condition.
