The real surprise of this first part of Lecce’s season is called Federico Baschirotto. The defender, who arrived in Salento in the summer of 2022 from Ascoli, is proving to be one of the best central defenders in the Serie A league, with also strong offensive skills that have allowed him to score three goals so far.

The player, who can also be used as a fullback, has ended up on the radars of several Italian clubs and others thanks to his excellent performances.
