Zaniolo disposal, Tiago Pinto has double regrets

“A week ago we had a bigger offer.”

Speaking, as usual, in the press conference taking stock of the market session that has just ended, Roma general manager Tiago Pinto focused on the capital club’s most important transaction: the one that resulted in the sale of Nicolò Zaniolo.

“If Zaniolo had accepted Bournemouth’s offer another asset would have arrived. I don’t want to say who out of respect for the player and the club that got him afterwards. Although we tried to do everything in a tight time frame because when Nicolò made the decision that he wanted to leave, there were still 15 days left until the end of the market. I don’t want to spend the whole press conference talking about Nicolò.
