The journalists’ derby went to Matteo Marani: he was elected president of Lega Pro with 39 votes. At his side are Gianfranco Zola and Giovanni Spezzaferri, who as vice presidents will support the former Guerin Sportivo editor, who later also landed at Sky Sport, in the next two years.
Challenger Marcel Vulpis received 15 preferences, 2 blank ballots and 2 void ballots.
The post had been vacated by Francesco Ghirelli, who resigned last December 16.
