The Italian derby with Lorenzo Sonego goes to Jannik Sinner. The South Tyrolean tennis player had no major problems getting rid of his compatriot, defeating him in two sets (6-4 6-2).

In the first set after an initial break and counter break, Sinner operated another break at 2-2 and kept it until the final 6-4. Jannik thus advances to the semifinals where he will face home favorite Arthur Fils.
