Reyer, Spahija has clear ideas for post De Raffaele: “Let’s start with defense.”
Spahija has clear ideas
Neven Spahija, the new coach of Reyer Venezia, shows that he has very clear ideas on the day of his presentation. “I arrive here after one of the most successful coaches of the last ten years in Italy,” he says, “it will not be easy to take his place; but, considering that I have already experienced similar situations in the past, I think I have the right experience to do it and therefore I am convinced that with the help of the assistants, the players and the whole club we can start a good job. The situation is difficult, but we have all the characteristics to start a new page and to write new important things for this club.”
“As a coach, so far I have always focused mainly on defense and rebound control, although this team has the talent to play very well in the offensive half of the court, even five-on-five. In recent games, however, about 80 points have been conceded on average, so we need to work a lot on defensive aspects,” adds Walter De Raffaele’s successor.
