Sofia Goggia spoke after the unfortunate downhill race

Sofia Goggia has spoken again after the unfortunate downhill at the World Championships, which saw her fork a gate: “I’m sorry, it’s really a shame, it hurts to know that no one else will be able to give me back a chance to win a medal at this World Championships. It’s been a tough week, but life goes on, we think about the next races, this doesn’t change anything in my beautiful career.”

The skier from Bergamo does not want to make a big deal out of it: “Tomba was the favorite in 1989 in Vail and he failed. He was also in ’91 in Saalbach and ’93 in Morioka, he failed and he was Alberto Tomba. In ’96 in Sierra Nevada he then took two golds. That’s how it was, dry races are like that. Anyway I was serene, not like yesterday, I was calm and focused, I had no inner clouds,” the words to Rai.

Now head to Crans Montana: “Now I digest and then we prepare for the races in Crans Montana.”
