Switzerland and Italy lead the overall World Cup standings
Thanks to Marco Odermatt’s gold in the men’s downhill, Switzerland jumps to the top of the medal table at the World Ski Championships in Courchevel-Meribel at the end of the first week of competition.
The Helvetians took two golds as did Italy, and can count on four overall medals against the Azzurri’s two. Austria is the nation with the most medals, five, but still no gold.
