Ducati, Enea Bastianini speaks out on confrontation with Pecco Bagnaia
Enea Bastianini comments on the final day of MotoGp testing in Malaysia
Enea Bastianini ended the third and final day of MotoGp testing in Malaysia in fourth place, behind Luca Marini (Ducati Mooney46), world champion and teammate at factory Ducati Pecco Bagnaia and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia).
“The new bike is not easy, initially it seemed not to adapt much to my style,” Bastianini admitted in front of reporters. Who, then, revealed how the key to improving the situation was the internal team data comparison. “The situation changed when we deepened the work on the bike and when I compared myself with Pecco, we related the data and the work was easier,” said ‘Beast’, speaking clearly about the importance of the comparison with Bagnaia.
“We found the squaring of the circle in the afternoon, we were as fast on the dry lap as on the race pace. We can’t say we are 100 percent but it’s good that we are at least where we were with the old bike,” concluded the Rimini native.
