MotoGP, discouragement Fabio Quartararo: “No one knows why I’m slow.”
Gross difficulties, as admitted without mincing words at the end of the day.
Fabio Quartararo is still struggling with colossal problems in finding competitiveness with his Yamaha. In fact, Day 3 of the MotoGP tests at Sepang ended with him finishing 19th, and the Frenchman admitted that he does not understand the origins of such a disappointing result.
“With the new tires the bike is a disaster,” Quartararo in fact stated brutally. “There is satisfaction, however, on top speed, an aspect on which I had made a very clear request to Yamaha. The overall feeling however is not good at all, although we have tried many components and I am happy with that.”
“The real problem is when we mount fresh tires, with nightmarish performance. And we have no idea why we are so far behind. We tried the time attack, but we got a chrono one second higher than I expected. And the trouble is that I go back to the pits without understanding what is going on and why we are so slow,” Quartararo added.
