The format calls for only one run per competitor, entrants will be drawn to compete on either the red lane or the blue lane, at the end only the best eight times in the red lane and the best eight times in the blue lane will be promoted to the final round scheduled in Meribel on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 12 noon.

Marta Bassino has been training for the past few days in the specialty where she defends the gold she won in a tie with Katharina Liensberger two years ago in Cortina. “Today I did four parallel laps in preparation for the next days. I have to defend the title but the medal I won in super-giant the other day took so much pressure off me. I always use the parallel as preparatory training for the giant and it is a discipline I like, although the giant always remains my main obiwttivo of this trip, however now I want to focus on this race.”
