Federica Brignone knows what she wants despite the flu
Some complicated days and a clear goal in mind.
Federica Brignone is aiming to do well in the two giant slaloms at the World Championships in Courchevel-Méribel. An important stage for the Italian, struggling with the flu, but who explained to FISI microphones how she is preparing for the important event.
“I’m back from a few days of high fever, I was treated at home – Federica Brignone explained -. Now I’m feeling better and I’m centering my energy, keeping it for the race. Clearly I am not in the best condition, the good thing is that I managed to stay away from the stress that a World Cup creates for you and I recharged my mind.”
However, the Valle d’Aosta native knows what to ask of herself at the World Championships. “The goal is to return the tiger seen in the combined. I will be at the start of the giant with my mind and physique, certain however to put everything I have in my body on the track. I really like the slope, I won the finals giant here last year, with a series of turns where you can make a difference,” Brignone recalled.
