F1, Alpine: Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon throw down the gauntlet

The two drivers, newcomer Pierre Gasly and confirmed Esteban Ocon, said they were immediately enthusiastic and eager to confirm the fourth place in the Constructors’ World Championship obtained last year, with the dream of “stealing” at least one place on the podium that insiders reserve, at prediction level, for Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes (in order of arrival at the 2022 World Championship).

Gasly did not hide his excitement: “It’s great to be here, for my career a new phase begins. I want to discover the potential of the car, but already seeing how everyone at Enstone and Viry has worked, observing the passion they are putting into their daily work, is really nice. I’m looking forward to helping the team achieve its goals for 2023.”

Ocon added, “I am looking forward to the new season, it is my fourth year here and we have made great progress in 2022. In our bases in France and England everyone has been working hard, I want to get behind the wheel as soon as possible to test the A523. As for me, I worked hard in the winter to prepare for the start of the season. I’m ready to hit the track, I feel in good shape.”
