Giuseppe Rossi returns to Spal
Giuseppe Rossi and Spal pick up where they left off at the end of the 2021/22 season. In fact, with a statement released on its official channels on Friday evening, the Estense club made official the return of the 36-year-old striker to Ferrara.
“Spal announces that it has signed a contract until June 30, 2023 with striker Giuseppe Rossi,” the note reads. “After his experience in Ferrara last season, in which he scored three decisive goals to achieve the club’s goals in the 14 matches played in Serie B, the Italian-American striker born in 1987 returns to wear the biancazzurra jersey also in the present sports season.
Born in New Jersey on Feb. 1, 1987, ‘Pepito’ played with the jerseys of Manchester United, Newcastle United, Parma, Villarreal, Fiorentina, Levante, Celta Vigo, Genoa and Real Salt Lake, before the Spallina experience. Although numerous physical problems affected his career, he also managed to carve out a space for himself in the national team, with 30 appearances and 7 goals between 2008 and 2014.
