In the first half, Genoa started strong right away and found the lead from a corner with Dragusin winning a carom with opposing goalkeeper Gagno. The hosts reacted and in the 33rd minute found the equalizer with Strizzolo, who was skillful in taking advantage of a Poli raid and slotting in Martinez.

In the second half, the canarini found the overtake thanks to an own goal by Puscas, who badly deflected a Tremolada free kick. Genoa, however, did not mind and pushed in search of an equalizer: after a great chance happened at Coda’s feet, Bani on a kissing assist from the same Coda beat Gagno and signed the final 2-2.

Genoa remains in second place with 43 points, for Modena a valuable draw that keeps it in eighth place with 35 points, in the playoff zone.
