Trieste, blowback for post-Gaines
Trieste knocks on Scaligera’s door for Sanders
Two days after the termination of Frank Gaines’ contract, Pallacanestro Trieste is facing a major void in terms of players at coach Marco Legovich’s disposal. For this reason, the management of the Julian club would be quickly sounding out the market in order to ensure the presence of a new guard when the league resumes after the break for Final Eight and the National Team.
According to reports from ‘Il Piccolo,’ in particular, the main target would actually be a back, Jamarr Sanders: currently under contract with Scaligera Basket Verona, the 1988-born basketball player already knows the red and white reality, having worn the jersey of Trieste in the 2018/19 season, which ended in the quarterfinals of the playoffs scudetto.
However, the club gialloblù would take time, to figure out if and how to replace Sanders himself according to the indications of the technical staff led by coach Alessandro Ramagli.
