Matteo Berrettini unfiltered on Novak Djokovic

Guest on Sinnaggagghiri’s Youtube channel, Matteo Berrettini spoke about Roger Federer: “He is a person who always has the right word and always the right mood for any atmosphere and situation. Elegant would be obvious, basically he has a very deep self-knowledge and a great sensitivity. So I would define him as sensitive.”

The blue tennis player went on to describe Novak Djokovic this way, “About Djokovic, it’s impressive to see the stimulation he has after everything he has done and the way he handles his body. He’s quite alien, likewise Nadal and Federer, but he’s the one who maybe in terms of characteristics is the furthest from what I am and that’s why I see him that way.”

“When I think of Roland Garros I always think of Rafa Nadal because he won 84 (laughs, ed.) and it’s hard not to think of him. It’s a little bit gloomier, a little bit more somber than Australia and the weather is cooler as well. It is a grand slam, though. Australian Open? They call it a ‘Happy Slam,’ I would call it energetic and sunny because it’s always sunny and warm and because people are passionate about tennis. There’s a beautiful, clean, healthy energy,” Berrettini concluded.
