Novak Djokovic: last try for Miami and Indian Wells
Novak Djokovic: “I applied for special exemption.”
U.S. regulations on foreign entry restrictions currently do not allow Novak Djokovic to participate in the two U.S. Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami. The Serbian tennis player, who will participate in next week’s Atp 500 in Dubai, explained in a note that he has applied for a special exemption to participate: ” I am healed from the injury and close to my 100%, I will play in Dubai, while for Indian Wells and Miami dono awaiting decisions, but I have applied for special exempt.”
“I am grateful to the Indian Wells and Miami tournaments for their support. I have a great desire to return there; I have been missing for several years. I have applied for special exempt and it is being processed, but it is something out of my control right now. I can only hope. The recent results in Australia show that these kinds of situations have no impact on my performance.”
