Reyer Venezia, Jayson Granger blunt: “We can still have our say”
Reyer Venezia, Jayson Granger confident about team’s ambitions
Reyer Venezia’s season so far has been marked by several surprises. The most recent is the coaching change a few weeks ago. The lagoon team currently occupies the ninth position and is in the midst of a race for the playoffs. At the microphones of Il Corriere del Veneto, Uruguayan point guard Jayson Granger spoke, who wanted to take stock of his first season in Italy and dwell on the goals of this final season.
“We are a great group. We have built something important in the locker room and we try to transmit it on the court as well. We have had many ups and downs, however, I think this last part of the season can give us great satisfaction. I would like to see the team in a different position both in the league and in the cup, but I am convinced that we can have our say from here to the end,” the point guard’s words.
“It is never nice when the coach is changed, especially for De Raffaele, who has achieved several awards and titles in Venice. Spahija has a very different philosophy and mentality, he has experience in the Euroleague and the NBA and he is working just to pass on this idea of his game to help us reach our goals,” concluded Granger on the new head coach.
