Ferrari SF-23, Charles Leclerc identifies a strong point
Ferrari, Leclerc: “We will be faster in the straights”
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc made a positive assessment after the three-day Formula 1 test in Bahrain. The Monegasque is satisfied with the new SF-23, although Red Bull still seems to be ahead : “There is work to be done, Red Bull seems very strong.”
The Red Bull seems faster in the straights than last year : “I think the work has been done in the right way and I think we have a less locked-up car, so it should go better, but this has changed all the characteristics and we still have to find the right set-up for these new specs. Besides, these were aspects we had budgeted for.”
“I expect that we will be a little faster in the straights, maybe struggling a little more in the corners. With these three days of testing, I can say that we are still working a lot to try to find the ideal spot for the car in terms of set-up. So there is, I hope, some margin on that and we are looking for it,” are the words reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
