Sofia Goggia sets a new record after her downhill victory in Crans Montana: the Azzurra has become the all-time winningest Italian skier with 22 overall World Cup successes.
The athlete from Bergamo in seven seasons has won 17 times in downhill, and five times in Super G. Sofia thus overtook Federica Brignone, second with 21 successes. In third place is Deborah Compagnoni with 16 wins, followed by Isolde Kostner (15), Karen Putzer (8), Denise Karbon and Marta Bassino, (tied with 6).
Sofia Goggia is one step closer to winning her fourth downhill World Cup in six years.
