Juventus, Allegri’s announcement on Pogba and Chiesa
Juventus, Allegri recovers Chiesa and Pogba ahead of derby
Juventus will close the 24th day of Serie A by facing Torino in the derby della Mole. On the eve of the match, Bianconeri coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke in the usual pre-match press conference, stressing the importance of the match for the Old Lady’s short-term goals.
“The derby is always an important match for both of us, especially for us. We have to continue this climb and only by increasing our points in the league will we have a chance to make up ground on those ahead of us,” the former Milan coach began.
“Torino is a Juric team. They attack a lot, they attack and give a lot of pressure. It will be a very tough match with great intensity. We will have to be good at getting into the reality of these matches. We must not make the mistake of entering the field too soft because otherwise we risk taking them. We have to focus on the small goals in front of us and tomorrow’s must be trying to get the three points to reach Bologna,” added the Livorno coach.
“Chiesa is unlikely to start from the beginning, he has played two games in a row and needs to rest. He comes from a serious injury that kept him out for a long time and so we don’t want to take any risks. Pogba is better and will be available for tomorrow’s game. He doesn’t have a very high minute count, but if we need him he can play a part of the match,” concluded Allegri in reference to his two players.
