Camila Giorgi gets right back on the court in Monterrey
Camila Giorgi in Monterrey
After her triumph in Merida, Camila Giorgi is already ready to return to the court in the ATP 250 tournament in Monterrey.
The Marche-based tennis player will make her debut tonight against Romania’s Elena Gabriela Ruse in the first round, and if successful, she will face the winner of the match between Belgium’s Mertens and Russia’s Schnaider.
However, Giorgi emerged defeated in her only previous match: 6-4, 6-2 at the WTA 500 in Chicago two years ago.
The term WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) is used to refer to that association that brings together all female professional tennis players from all corners of the world.
The WTA, like the ATP, has as its main objective the organization and management of all WTA events, as well as the compilation of the ranking, called the WTA ranking.
