Daniil Medvedev, message at Wimbledon: “I want to be there.”
The message is clear: the desire to return to play one of the most anticipated Slams of the year is great.
Daniil Medvedev sends a clear message to the ATP and especially Wimbledon. The very organizers of the latter tournament had banned Russian and Belarusian tennis players from taking part in the event on London’s grass in 2022, a situation that could change this year, however.
“I don’t know what their decision will be,” Medvedev said in an interview from Dubai. “I will wait for it, but I want to play. I want to play on grass and I want to play at Wimbledon. In 2022 I had to follow the rules, and I certainly could not change their decision. But I always want to take part in the most important tournaments, and try to collect great results.”
