Angelo Binaghi aims for further growth
Angelo Binaghi, president of FITP (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation), was in Turin on Wednesday for the press conference presenting the Nitto ATP Finals, which will return to the Pala Alpitour in the Piedmontese capital for the third consecutive year from November 12 to 19. “The Nitto ATP Finals are a highly successful product, this is confirmed by the data on the visibility of the event and the studies that have been conducted on customer satisfaction and the economic impact on the territory of the edition that has just taken place,” he said. “The tournament, for which 159,961 tickets were purchased, registers the satisfaction of almost all the public and grows significantly, for an economic impact on the territory of more than 221 million euros, to which must be added the increase in brand value, generated by an increasingly global visibility. A value that must also be seen in the perspective of at least three more years of the tournament. This edition of the Nitto ATP Finals generated a tax revenue of 48 million and engaged 1,338 full-time employees for one year (FTE). What’s more, the tournament was broadcast in 179 countries around the world, registering a total audience of 190.9 million between TV, live streaming and social media.”
“Numbers that satisfy us but that we believe in the next edition can grow further, as confirmed by the latest ticketing data, which record a 25 percent increase in sales, supported even more than before by demand from abroad, which in 2022 accounted for 38 percent of total ticket sales,” Binaghi added.
