Primoz Roglic shines at Tirreno-Adriatico, Kamna leader
The words of Primoz Roglic
Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) won the fourth stage of the 58th Tirreno-Adriatico Crédit Agricole, the 218-kilometer Greccio-Tortoreto. In second and third place were Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) and Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates), respectively.
Lennard Kämna (Bora – Hansgrohe) is the new General Classification leader’s Blue Jersey.
A few seconds after crossing the finish line, stage winner Primoz Roglic said, “Our plan today was to win the stage but I was not the first option. Wout’s crash was a game changer but I managed to pull it off. It feels good to win, especially after the recent injuries.”
Blue Jersey Lennard Kämna, immediately after the finish, said, “To be honest I underestimated this stage this morning. I didn’t think the final climb would be so hard, but already during the first lap I had the feeling that I could take the jersey from Ganna. I fought so hard to get it and tomorrow I will do the same to defend it even though I know it will be very complicated.”
