Camila Giorgi eliminated
No dice in the second round for Camila Giorgi at the Indian Wells WTA 1000.
The Marche player was defeated 3-6 6-1 6-2 by number 3 in the WTA rankings, American Jessica Pegula, who will now face Russian Anastasia Potapova, number 26 in the seeding.
Giorgi won the first set but then had to surrender to the comeback of her higher ranked rival.
The term WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) is used to refer to that association that brings together all female professional tennis players from all corners of the world.
The WTA, like the ATP, has as its main objective the organization and management of all WTA events, as well as the compilation of the ranking, called the WTA ranking.
